The 2008 Australian International Motor Show at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre in Sydney's Darling Harbour is (was) on between October 9-19, 2008.
Opening times are from 9am till 10 pm, which is really unusual for Australia, there closing time for any venue usually around 5pm. You can sit in almost any of cars (except some expensive ones, like Lamborghini, or concept cars), so dress appropriately to make nice pictures of yourself :)

Stockton Beach Sand Dunes, NSW
Stockton Beach is a 32 kilometers long beach with up to 1 km wide sand dunes. It is between Anna Bay of Port Stephens and the town of Stockton near Newcastle.
You need a four-weel-drive vehicle with a low-range and have tyre pressures lowered to around 16psi. You need to buy a permit to drive there or book a tour. 2 hours tour costed us 48AUD per person, and there were 6 people in a vehicle with a driver who was talking about dunes, beach and life around.
You can ride a horse or camel as well.
You can do sand-boarding. It is better in wet conditions as sand is more slippery so you can go faster. It is a bit scary when you look first time from the top of a dune, but it is really exciting.
It is probably much nicer in a sunny weather, but we enjoyed it anyway. We will definitely come next time to make more exciting pictures, especially my dream one with sun, dunes and camels.
